Job Purpose:
To supervise, coordinate, and execute site-based activities related to the construction, erection, and commissioning of high voltage transmission lines (132kV/230kV/380kV) in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily construction activities at the site for transmission line works including tower erection, stringing, sagging, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, safety procedures, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth workflow and site readiness.
- Monitor and control subcontractor performance and progress as per the project schedule.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation such as daily progress reports, work permits, and inspection requests.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower for assigned sections of the project.
- Liaise with consultants, clients (e.g., SEC Saudi Electricity Company), and internal stakeholders for inspections and approvals.
- Identify technical issues and support in resolving construction-related challenges.
- Enforce site safety policies and conduct toolbox talks and site safety audits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 8 years of relevant experience in overhead transmission line projects (132kV and above), preferably in GCC.
- Hands-on experience with transmission tower erection, stringing, and testing.
- Familiar with SEC standards and project execution methodology in Saudi Arabia.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
Preferred Certifications:
- SEC/NG (National Grid) site approval is a strong plus.
