Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing piping designs, layouts, and specifications for projects across oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors.
  • Support preparation of piping material specifications, stress analysis, and piping isometric drawings under supervision.
  • Collaborate with the 3D modeling team (using SP3D, E3D, or PDMS) to review piping layouts and ensure model integrity.
  • Conduct basic calculations for pipe sizing, wall thickness, pressure drop, and support span, in accordance with ASME, API, and client standards.
  • Participate in design review meetings, model reviews, and coordination meetings with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, process, etc.).
  • Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and corporate standards.
  • Maintain proper records, reports, and documentation in line with project and company quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Strong understanding of basic mechanical/piping principles and design fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with key piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.4, API standards).
  • Knowledge of engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Caesar II (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
