Job Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice, utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development.
- Ensures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards.
- Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified health outcomes. Promotes a healing environment.
- Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
- Demonstrates high-level communication skills.
- Refers and coordinates patients' discharge arrangements with the case manager in accordance with DSFH discharge policy.
- Performs other QI responsibilities as delegated from time to time by the Nurse Manager.
- Creates partnerships with patients and families to establish goals and plans for delivery of patient-centered care.
- Performs duties as per the code of conduct requirements and ethical standards outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.
