Job summary

# Assembly Technician

The opportunity

You as an Assembly Technician will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

How you’ll make an impact

1. Fulfilling orders related work packages according to production data and instructions given by assigned foremen.
2. Performing assembly and repair activities according to the prepared work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
3. Performing and participating in routine tests of GIS assembled units as well as components and modules according to the prepared work instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
4. Targeting the best performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time.
5. Self-check of work packages’ results, filling out and confirming on assigned checklists and protocols.
6. Supporting the gathering of product improvement comments/feedback from the GIS LSC (local Service Center) engineers.
7. Handling factory equipment and tools properly, maintaining equipment, and ensuring proper continuous calibration.
8. Supporting teamwork, effective communication, and collaboration with internal customers or stakeholders (assembly, testing, logistics, etc.).
9. Following factory rules and guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling, and housekeeping.
10. Maintaining a safe working environment by following Hitachi Energy HSE guidelines and reporting irregularities.
11. Contributing to continuous improvement processes and Lean culture.
12. Providing feedback, sharing ideas, and observations whenever possible.
13. Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill the job requirements.

Your background

- A diploma in electrical engineering is required.

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a production facility (assembly & testing).

- Understanding of lean concepts & minimizing all related 7 wastes.

- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material lists precisely.

- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
