Job Description

Position Summary:

Senior Corporate Communications for our external and internal communications. You will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our company s behalf.

As Communications Specialist, corporate communications you will be responsible for elements of our external & internal communications strategy to raise awareness for Retal Group through media and executive visibility on traditional and new media platforms. You will work to develop, manage and execute corporate communications strategies, as well as represent the Corporate Communications team internally across business units and markets.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Corp Comm with the development of effective corporate communication strategies
  • Execute internal and external communications.
  • Drafting content (e.g. press releases) for mass media or company website
  • Formulating PR plans and strategies
  • Enhancing the company s voice and presence through online and offline channels
  • Correspond to media relations
  • Support in executing effective corporate communication strategies
  • Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
  • Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
  • Foster relationships with advocates and key persons
  • Plan and supervise events, fairs, conferences etc.
  • Support the implementation of promotional plans.
  • Present solutions in times of PR crisis
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors
  • Lead survey initiatives and analyse public opinion
  • Collaborate with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles
  • Perform damage control in cases of bad publicity
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors
  • Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership.

A minimum 4 years of solid experience in PR, Corporate Communications, and / or corporate branding or listed company.
Strong relationship and connection with news media and able to engage various stakeholders.
Good relations with media channels in all their forms to apply to ensure publication of event promotional materials of the company.
