Overview
MBC is seeking a Program Manager to oversee new development initiatives for its TV platforms. The Program Manager will create and maintain project plans, evaluate resource availability, anticipate bottlenecks, escalate issues to management, recommend tradeoffs, balance business needs with technical constraints, and champion AGILE project management practices.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Coach cross-functional team members in program and project management best practices.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Guide, lead, escalate, and resolve impediments blocking progress toward team goals.
- Identify and manage dependencies, interactions, and deliverables within and across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with Project / Delivery Managers to build and scale operational best practices aligning multiple teams with the company's objectives and priorities.
- Lead and oversee Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management process design and adherence.
- Anticipate operational risks and develop strategies for identification, tracking, assessment, and mitigation.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to address concerns, launch projects, and ensure stability across platforms.
- Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses (CBA) for project prioritization and reprioritization.
Requirements
- Degree from a reputable university, preferably in Computer Science.
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or related fields.
- Fluency in AGILE methodologies is essential.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Proven experience managing large-scale delivery teams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with software or online products; experience with Video on Demand (VOD) technology projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of streaming media technologies, including digital rights management and content delivery networks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and organizational awareness.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
