Job Title: Quality Record Controller

Project: AMIRAL P02 & 03 4398 & 4399 KSA

Job Location: Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Job type/Contract: Contractual (Single Status). Start on as soon as possible

Starting date: ASAP

Duration: 21 months (Extendable)

Hours/rotation: Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid). 10 hours per day (including 1 hour break)

Salary range: Excellent salary package with benefits.

Job summary/Role description

  • Quality Record Controller ensures the implementation of all the quality procedures and standards in the appointed area/subcontractor.
  • He/she is responsible for performing inspections on subcontractor's activities assuring the conformity to site inspection plans and applicable engineering.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To ensure the implementation of all the quality/HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities, together with the other members of quality/HSE teams.
  • To support the construction material controller in checking the supplier's material prior to the start of works.
  • To address subcontractor activities for his/her own discipline, ensuring that plant construction works are performed according to the applicable engineering specification, site procedures and site inspection plan according to quality & safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract.
  • To check that the manpower employed by the subcontractor continuously respect the requirements of applicable procedures and the quality level fixed by the same.
  • To check that the equipment employed by the subcontractor are adequate and calibrated as required according to applicable procedures and to the quality level fixed by the same.
  • To check that the works performed by the subcontractor conform to the applicable documents, safety regulations, and to the quality level fixed by the same, in coordination with the other members of quality/HSE teams.
  • To inform the site engineer to make the necessary changes when detects any design errors.
  • To promote the non-conformity draft and informs the construction quality manager, supporting him/her in the nonconformity resolution.
  • Keeping the construction quality manager informed, receive the request of inspection from subcontractors and confirm to proceed with the inspection informing the client, assume the responsibility in case of client's (motivated) rejection of the inspection taking care of remedial action and avoiding the repetition of similar case in future.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in construction/modernization of large petrochemical plants/EPC projects.
  • Strong subcontractors and construction/commissioning management experience in EPC project, large/XL plants.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the specific discipline.
  • Similar role covered in last three projects of comparable size.
  • Experience working on contractor side.
