DESCRIPTION

The Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance will have a significant impact on customer experience. The Supervisor will lead technicians, design solutions for challenging problems, manage outside contractors, be on call for emergencies, handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet deadlines.
The Supervisor will develop plans to achieve engineering departmental goals and will be responsible for team leadership, development, and coaching through Performance Management.
This role also leads the technical team in providing reactive and proactive maintenance on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Amazon Facility.
The role directly impacts the site, its productivity, and operational success. Equipment performance directly affects the site’s capacity and throughput.

Key job responsibilities

• Put health & safety best practices first in all work, ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment within the site.
• React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
• Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for improvements to the line manager.
• Ensure high levels of equipment availability for internal customers.
• Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
• Manage contractors effectively.
