Qualifications

  • Professional membership and registration with Saudi Council of Engineers.

Job description

Position Title: Senior Water Utility Engineer
Work Location: Riyadh, KSA
Reports to: Construction Director

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve water utility designs to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and sustainability standards.

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of pipelines, pumping stations, and water treatment facilities.

  • Manage construction-phase activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high-quality outcomes.

  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of utility systems.

  • Enforce rigorous quality control and ensure full compliance with local water and environmental standards.

  • Resolve technical issues on-site and collaborate with contractors and design teams to implement effective solutions.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on water utility matters, ensuring expectations are met.

  • Maintain detailed documentation, including QA/QC records, compliance reports, and handover documentation.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (15+ years’ experience), or

  • Master’s degree in the same fields (12+ years’ experience)

  • At least 5 years in a senior or managerial role on large infrastructure projects under PMC frameworks

  • Professional membership (e.g., CIWEM, ICE or equivalent)

  • Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)

Key Skills
  • Strong knowledge of water distribution, sewage, and stormwater systems

  • Excellent coordination, communication, and client-facing abilities

  • Skilled in resolving complex technical issues on-site

  • Proficient in engineering and project management software

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, and compliance

  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
