Job Description

Position Title: Commissioning Engineer

Department: ME General Assembly

Supervisor's position: General Assembly - ME Manager

The objective of the Commissioning Engineer is to support and coordinate all facility and line installation and commissioning activities related to projects for General Assembly model launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite facility commissioning activities related to General Assembly projects.
• Coordinate line try-out activities with line builders.
• Coordinate vehicle part try-outs across the GA shop.
• Support onsite equipment buy-off activities.
• Liaise with all line builders for buy-off documentation.
• Support onsite GA ME team during line trial activities.
• Create and scrub spare part lists from the line builder lists.
• Capture and track all commissioning issues and coordinate the closure of action items with respective line builders.
• Analyze issues effectively.
• Possess good knowledge of vehicle assembly and quality improvement.
• Update required inputs for launch and general assembly metrics during the commissioning phase in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience with General Assembly processes.
• Preferred experience as a Facility Commissioning Engineer in the automotive OEM sector.
• Good communication skills for leadership and teamwork.
• Knowledge of process sheets and BOMs.
• Familiarity with GA shop facilities and processes.
• Skills in facility commissioning and problem-solving.
