- Feeder Factories & Production Planner

Role Overview

You as a Production Planner will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for managing the coordination between the main production factory and various feeder factories (FF), ensuring alignment of material deliveries, project milestones, and production schedules. This role requires close collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and feeder factory teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of critical components. The FF Coordinator plays a key role in communicating production status and managing expectations with both internal and external teams.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Coordinating with various Feeder Factories (GIB, Surge Arrestors, Voltage Transformers, Current Transformers, Bushings, LCCs, and other third-party suppliers) to ensure timely delivery of components to the main factory.
  2. Maintaining and updating the project tree for all feeder factory products, including quantities and schedules for Third Party Suppliers and Factory Floor (FF) items.
  3. Ensuring that feeder factory production milestones are aligned with the master production plan and factory load.
  4. Reporting any missed milestones to internal teams, including PM, ENG, SCM, and FF teams, and collaborating with them to resolve issues that may affect production.
  5. Regularly updating milestone data in the Master Database (MDB), ensuring alignment with the overall production schedule.
  6. Collaborating closely with Material Planners, Project Managers, and Production Planners to align feeder factory deliveries with the overall production schedule.
  7. Attending weekly and bi-weekly alignment meetings with feeder factory teams and other internal stakeholders to review production progress and resolve potential delays.
  8. Proactively identifying and resolving issues related to feeder factory production, such as delays, material shortages, or misalignment with the master plan.
  9. Working on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the coordination process between the main factory and feeder factories, reducing cycle times and improving material flow.
  10. Ensuring that production issues from feeder factories are escalated and addressed promptly, minimizing disruptions to the main factory's production schedule.

Your Background
  1. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred. A diploma with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience with production management tools and ERP systems is essential for effective planning and scheduling.
  4. Strong understanding of production processes, factory load management, capacity planning, feeder factory processes, material flow management, and production milestones.
  5. Experience working with third-party suppliers and coordinating between multiple factories.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external suppliers.
  8. Proficiency in spoken & written English is required.
