Job description

We are looking for a Cloud Transformation Consultant to support the Cloud Head in defining the organization’s cloud needs, assessing application migration strategy, and identifying automation opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of cloud platforms, application architecture, and process automation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business units to develop a well-structured cloud roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Strategy & Assessment:

• Work closely with Cloud Head to define cloud adoption strategies aligned with business goals.
• Conduct assessments of existing applications and infrastructure to determine cloud suitability.
• Identify workloads that should be migrated to the cloud and provide recommendations on the best-fit cloud model (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Assist in defining cloud governance, security, and compliance requirements.

Application Migration Planning:

• Collaborate with application owners to evaluate which applications should move to the cloud and determine the optimal migration approach (Rehost, Refactor, Rebuild, Retire, Replace).
• Develop cost-benefit analysis for migrating applications and workloads to the cloud.
• Work with architects and engineering teams to ensure seamless migration of applications with minimal disruption.

Process Automation & Optimization:

• Identify manual processes that can be automated using cloud-native solutions.
• Work with DevOps and automation teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Explore opportunities to integrate AI/ML-based automation for operational efficiencies.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting:

• Partner with business and IT teams to gather requirements and align cloud initiatives with business objectives.
• Create reports and presentations to communicate cloud strategy, migration progress, and automation impacts.
• Stay updated with cloud trends and best practices to provide insights and recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud strategy, IT infrastructure, or application modernization.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Nutanix, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their service offerings.
• Experience with cloud migration frameworks and methodologies.
• Knowledge of application architecture, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Understanding security, compliance, and cost optimization in cloud environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex cloud strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team player with excellent collaboration and documentation skills.
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
