Job description

  • Inspecting of Mechanical Rotating Equipment
  • Performing visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections (e.g., ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, vibration analysis) to assess the integrity and condition of rotating machinery.
  • Performing detailed quality inspections on mechanical rotating equipment, including turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, motors, and other related machinery, during installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensuring that all materials and components used in the assembly, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment meet the required quality standards, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Ensuring that the quality of materials used in the construction, maintenance, or overhaul of rotating equipment meets project specifications and standards.
  • Ensuring the quality control reports are properly filed and updated, in accordance with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, API, or ASME.
  • Preparing of inspection and test plans (ITPs) and checklists to ensure proper inspection practices and schedules are followed.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures or non-conformities in rotating equipment, to determine the underlying causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical rotating systems, including the operation, construction, and maintenance of gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps, compressors, motors, and generators.
  • Proficiency in using non-destructive testing methods, such asultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and vibration analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, API).
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Problem-solving skills to identify the root causes of quality issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, reports, and records.
  • Excellent communication skills to report findings and coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, maintenance, construction).
