Job description

Who Are We

HALA currently holds multiple entities in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt (including HALA Payments, HALA Cashier and HALA Logistics) and offers solutions that enable merchants to digitize their payments as well as manage their sales and operations.

Founded in 2017, HALA is currently duly licensed by the Saudi Arabian Central Bank as well as the Financials Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HALA's Enterprise Risk Management framework and related policies.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, including risk identification, evaluation, mitigation planning, monitoring, and reporting across all business units.
  • Consolidate risks into clearly defined categories to eliminate redundancy and enhance the clarity of HALA's risk profile.
  • Drive the integration of risk management into strategic decision-making processes, ensuring risks are effectively communicated to senior management and the board.
  • Oversee and ensure the consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness of risk documentation, tracking, and reporting processes.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive risk training and awareness sessions for staff to cultivate a robust risk culture across HALA.
  • Coordinate closely with various departments (Finance, Compliance, Operations, IT) to align risk management strategies and foster a holistic view of risk.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure HALA's risk management approaches remain proactive and compliant.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in enterprise risk management, preferably within fintech, financial services, or regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO ERM), and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively consolidating risks, creating risk taxonomies, and improving risk reporting mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with risk management software tools and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with analytics tools (SQL, Python) is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate risk concepts to various stakeholders.
