- Primary Design Engineer

The opportunity

This role will be responsible for primary engineering of Gas Insulated Switchgear, actively contributing to project efforts to reduce lead time and cost of GIS solutions by developing solutions aligned with technical requirements, while ensuring quality of deliverables as a top priority.

How you’ll make an impact

Preparation of electrical and gas single line diagrams, planning, and section drawings based on various offers, tenders, and customer specifications. Preparation of technical particulars for GIS and high voltage equipment such as breakers and disconnectors for submission to customers. Review of deliverables before submission and preparation of technical documents for procurement of current and voltage transformers. Participation in customer meetings and project review meetings, adhering to detailed project plans to ensure timely delivery. Focus on optimized solutions benefiting the customer and Hitachi Energy, interfacing with civil, steel, and application engineers within Hitachi Energy or EPC companies. Your background

Bachelor’s degree or 3-year diploma in electrical engineering or relevant industry experience preferred. 3 to 5 years of relevant GIS experience required. Hands-on experience with 3D tools like ProE / CREO, AutoCAD, MS Office. Knowledge of international standards such as IEC/ANSI for high voltage GIS products. Experience in preparing GIS layouts for various voltage levels, understanding variances and how to minimize them in design. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
