Amazon, a global leader in e-commerce, is seeking a Key Account Manager to join its Third-Party Marketplace team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In this dynamic role, you will focus on new acquisition (50% of your time) through prospecting via phone and email, recruiting new merchants who can offer diverse products, competitive pricing, and availability. The remaining 50% involves managing existing merchant accounts—helping them launch and expand on Amazon by guiding them through Amazon’s products, services, systems, and tools. You will also leverage merchant feedback to identify opportunities for improving Amazon’s offerings, and lead projects that enhance Customer and Seller experiences in Saudi Arabia, collaborating with regional teams to drive automation and scalability.
Success in this role requires excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. You must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, taking full ownership of your objectives.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Identify, prospect, and recruit high-potential selling partners to the Marketplace.
- Prioritize and manage a portfolio of selling partners to meet product family goals, focusing on key metrics.
- Serve as a consultant to sellers, providing data-driven insights to optimize their success.
- Spot business opportunities by analyzing trends, popular brands, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on performance issues and relay feedback to product teams for improvements.
- Educate sellers on Amazon’s standards for Delivery and Customer Experience.
- Track, analyze, and report on business development results, providing recommendations and action plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align initiatives that foster growth.
- Lead projects aimed at growth and enhancing customer and seller experiences in Saudi Arabia, partnering regionally to improve automation and scalability.
Program Process Excellence:
- Work with internal teams to improve tools and processes, enhancing seller experiences and productivity.
- Identify and define feature enhancements or new products based on feedback and data analysis.
Leadership:
- Set high standards for Account Managers, prioritizing strategic initiatives.
- Lead strategic planning and contribute to organizational success criteria.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive growth initiatives.
- Lead recruitment and hiring efforts within your team and broader organization.
Additional Responsibilities:
Account Management & Growth:
- Manage existing Amazon sellers, conduct business reviews, and support their expansion.
Strategic Support:
- Develop annual strategies with key sellers and address operational challenges.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, serve as primary contact, and coordinate issue resolution.
Program Development / Project Management:
- Implement scalable solutions, contribute to process improvements, and develop new seller tools.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Own and support specific service areas, developing processes and tools to benefit stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in sales, marketing, or related experience in e-commerce, retail tech, SaaS, or similar.
- Excellent English & Arabic communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and database analysis.
- Proven ability to manage projects and work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Management or related fields.
- 2+ years inside sales experience.
- Experience in account management, product marketing, or consulting.
- Knowledge of SQL, CRM tools like Salesforce, and analytics platforms.
- Ability to influence at all organizational levels and exceed sales targets.
