General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Review electrical plans and specifications according to local and international codes, standards, and best practices.
- Review electrical shop drawings and material submissions against approved drawings, specifications, laws, and standards.
- Ensure compliance of the design consultant with Hill International and Tunnel Authority's processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support during construction and review as-built plans.
- Participate in value engineering procedures.
- Familiarize with and ensure compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Minimum of 13+ years of experience in mega projects, with overall responsibility as Electrical Engineer.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
- Proven track record of successfully completing diverse electrical projects.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines.
- Deep understanding of electrical circuit theory, electromagnetism, electronics, and control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes such as NEC, IEC, and IEEE.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and hazard mitigation.
- Understanding of power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and stability studies.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and instrumentation like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
