Job Purpose
Achieve overall Production Targets as per SOP within the quality standards and specifications set by the Business. Lead the Assembly, Module & Fabrication Department in Lucy Saudi Arabia.
Job Context
Ensure that all HSE, Quality, Inventory, On Time Delivery, and Productivity Requirements are being followed by the Production Team.
Job Dimensions
The Production Manager role involves regular interactions with all functions of LSA Operations, including Internal Sales.
Key Accountabilities
- Production Targets:
- Meet the production target of LSA Factory.
- Manage and control manufacturing processes from Fabrication to final testing.
- Motivate employees to achieve higher productivity and quality standards.
- Develop a team culture and provide technical training.
- Optimize machinery and resource usage.
- Implement continuous productivity improvements and cycle time reduction.
- Ensure timely closure of production orders and BOM updates.
- Initiate lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives.
- Develop high-performance culture and automate production lines where possible.
- Maintain effective communication with staff and support functions like Logistics, Contract, Shipping, and Quality.
- Support engineering in process improvements and procurement of fixtures.
- Validate BOMs and report errors for corrective actions.
- Ensure machinery is maintained and discrepancies are resolved.
- Manage inventory in production warehouses, coordinate stock accuracy, and address shortages.
- Promote elimination of non-productive processes.
Product Quality:
- Oversee product quality, implement process controls, and reduce PPA points.
- Handle customer complaints and perform root cause analysis.
- Maintain high 5S standards and ensure proper documentation and calibration of tools.
Process Improvement and Cost Reduction:
- Assist in new product development and prototyping.
- Drive cost reduction projects focusing on materials, processes, and consumables.
- Lead continuous improvement teams and set SMART objectives.
System Management & Reporting:
- Report on KPIs, factory efficiency, and cost activities weekly/monthly.
- Manage departmental budgeting and D365 activities.
Training:
- Provide training to customers and group company personnel as needed.
HSE:
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE guidelines.
- Implement ISO 9001/14001 standards and prepare for audits.
General:
- Perform additional duties to improve efficiency, quality, and service.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience in Production, preferably in switchgear industry.
- Experience with Metal Sheet Fabrication, CNC, and surface finishing.
- Knowledge of electrical switchgear products and assembly.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, ERP, and safety systems.
- Strong motivational, training, management reporting, budgeting, and recruitment skills.
- Proficiency in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and problem-solving techniques.
- Arabic speaking, preferably Saudi National.
