Job Purpose:


KSA Emirates NBD Bank’s (Emirates NBD) Islamic window, offers full range of Islamic banking products, covering Assets, Trade, Liabilities, Treasury, Structured Finance & Capital Markets and Cash Management products – to tap a sizable potential segment of both Wholesale Banking and Consumer & Wealth Management Banking customers of KSA Emirates NBD to build significant shareholder value. The Internal Sharia Control Unit in KSA is responsible to develop Islamic capabilities by facilitating the establishment product, process and system capabilities, as well as instilling the required Sharia knowledge of relevant employees in coordination with the Internal Sharia Control Department at the HO.



  • Assess the Shari’ah training needs of relevant staff in coordination with HR-L&D.

  • Develop basic and customized Shari’ah training materials.

  • Handle queries raised by the relevant business unit in KSA on the matters related to Islamic products and services.

  • Prepare formal update intimation in relation to newly issued Sharia related regulations issued by HSA/SAMA to be communicated with the relevant stakeholders.

  • Contribute with other relevant stakeholders in the KSA Branch, towards the development of products and formulation of policies, procedures, contract and any other areas of development.


Person Specification:



  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or Shari’ah and Law Master Degree or any qualification related to Islamic Banking.

  • +10 years banking experience, 5 of which in related areas and in an Islamic

  • Banking environment.

  • knowledge about Islamic Banking Operation and Islamic Shari’ah Principles.

  • Experience in delivering Islamic Finance Training.
