Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Instrument/Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Experience:
- Familiar with instrumentation design requirements.
- Total experience of 13+ years in related work.
- Knowledge of SIS instrumentation applications and design requirements.
- Knowledge of instrumentation-DCS integration.
- Familiar with control valves, flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation and applications.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Task Description:
- Provide instrument engineering support for maintenance, reliability, and operation of instrument equipment.
- Assist in training operators, engineers, and technicians to improve system reliability and proper equipment use.
- Participate in safety and reliability audits, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety principles.
- Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting support, ensuring activities comply with company standards.
- Evaluate vendors, proposals, designs, and documentation for sound engineering practices and safety standards.
- Participate in fit-for-service evaluations of instrument equipment.
- Review the PPM maintenance program for goal alignment.
- Support project teams with engineering information, estimates, and proposals.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Research, design, test, and implement instrumentation systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards during design and installation.
- Develop and review design alternatives and recommend long-term solutions.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and vendor evaluation.
- Review engineering aspects of projects, ensuring safety, technical correctness, and financial considerations.
- Perform additional related activities as assigned.
- Understand and support company standards and industry best practices related to instrument engineering.
- Interface with vendors, suppliers, and technical experts, including industry giants like Dow and Saudi Aramco.
