This high-profile mixed-use development includes 13 individual assets rising from a common 2 level basement podium: providing retail at ground floor, high and mid end residential apartments, commercial offices, a professional cooking school and other recreational facilities including food court and cinema.
The PD will lead and coordinate all aspects of projects delivery—ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution that respects the cultural and architectural intent of the precinct.
The PD will lead an AtkinsRealis team of some 55 professionals in their delivery of our core services which include:
Project Management
Design Management
Project Controls Contract administration
Planning & Scheduling
Construction Supervision
QA/QC
HSE EoR (Engineer of Record) – sub consultant
FLS (Fire Life Safety) Accredited supervision – sub consultant
The PD will have accountability and responsibility to the client’s development team for the overall service delivery of the AtkinsRealis team. AtkinsRealis operate a program management structure on our account with the client, thus the PD will become a member of the Program’s SLT (Senior Leadership Team) and will be required to report into the Program Director on a weekly basis and assure the projects alignment with program level process, procedure, tools, systems and controls.
The PD will be required to:
Assure the projects delivery strategy and baseline programme are adequately controlled, reported against and kept relevant and aligned to the project’s context and parameters.
Assuring that where necessary amendments are developed and agreed in the delivery strategy to sustain compliance with the time for completion.
Manage the interface and communications between the client, contractor and stakeholders, assuring all parties have the necessary information at the right time to assure the required actions, decisions, inputs and outputs in accordance with the development strategy and baseline programme.
Provide strong team leadership, pragmatic, assertive, supportive and inclusive leadership to the AtkinsRealis team members.
Provide line management to the project management resources assigned to the project, supporting them in their career and professional development through productive, supportive and motivating management aligned to our core values.
Role Pre-Requisites:
Minimum 15-20 years construction industry experience, with 7 years as Project Director or similar level of responsibility and accountability.
KSA experience preferred
Middle Eastern experience mandatory
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in project or construction management, Engineering or a related field.
Proven track record delivering major high-end residential, commercial, hospitality or mixed-use assets.
Familiarity with KSA regulatory bodies and project delivery environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent PM tools;familiarity with BIM platforms is an advantage.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project conditions and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
