Job Overview

We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence Specialist (AIS) to join the Gas Operations Technical Support Division.

The Gas Operation Technical Support Division is responsible for providing AI-powered solutions to all Gas Plants. The objective is to leverage AI advancements to support data-driven decisions in Safety, Environment, Energy, Efficiency, and value creation.

The primary role of the Artificial Intelligence Specialist is to work closely with the Gas Business Line and other corporate entities to manage AI business cases from challenge identification to solution deployment and value tracking.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to oversee and monitor AI business cases from identification to value tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal/external entities and third parties to advance AI implementation in Gas.
  • Prioritize AI business cases and oversee the quality of all deliverables required for funding.
  • Develop a roadmap to scale AI solutions across the Business Line.
  • Facilitate and monitor AI solution development and execution phases with stakeholders.
  • Develop Generative AI cases for Safety, Environment, Operations, and Maintenance.
  • Apply statistical analysis methods to test hypotheses and validate results.
  • Build and train machine learning models to solve specific problems and optimize performance.
  • Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring data practices adhere to regulations and standards.
  • Act as the Gas AI focal point and coordinator with all entities.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in building data analytics products or machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in data cleaning, visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge of regression, classification, clustering, big data, SQL, NLP, neural networks, and visualization.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to derive insights from data.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Experience in leading AI deployment projects, preferably in Oil and Gas.
  • Knowledge of plant automation systems and real-time interfaces is desirable.
