About the job: TICKETING SOLUTIONS EXPERT (ENTERTAINMENT & EVENTS)
Job Purpose:
The Ticketing Systems Expert is responsible for the end-to-end management, configuration, and optimization of entertainment ticketing platforms, focusing on system implementation, operational performance, and user experience.
The role plays a key part in delivering seamless ticketing solutions for large-scale venues, live events, and entertainment programs, using platforms such as VGS, Viva Ticket, or similar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation, customization, and integration of ticketing systems (VGS, Viva Ticket, or equivalent).
- Configure seating plans, pricing structures, promotions, and access control mechanisms.
- Serve as a key technical liaison between the ticketing platform provider and internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, IT, venue operations).
- Ensure reliable ticketing system performance during high-demand events, including system testing and load balancing.
- Support day-to-day operations: box office setup, outlet configurations, and online ticketing workflows.
- Train internal staff on system functionalities, processes, and best practices.
- Monitor and report on ticket sales, capacity, and revenue metrics using system dashboards and custom reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues related to ticketing workflows.
- Manage integrations with payment gateways, CRM systems, access control, and customer support platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and transactional security standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Event Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of professional experience in entertainment ticketing systems, with at least one major implementation of VGS, Viva Ticket, or similar enterprise-grade ticketing platforms.
- Solid understanding of ticketing operations for live events, venues, attractions, or performing arts.
- Technical proficiency in ticketing system configuration, APIs, and integration with supporting platforms (payment, CRM, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in ticketing data reporting, forecasting, and optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with access control systems (e.g., RFID/NFC ticketing, turnstiles, mobile ticketing).
- Familiarity with digital wallet integration (Apple Wallet, Google Pay), QR code ticketing, and mobile-first design.
- Understanding of dynamic pricing models and ticket resale policies.
- Prior experience working with VGS TIXNGO, Secutix, Ticketmaster Enterprise, or Ticketek is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Based onsite with availability to support occasionally critical events.
- May require occasional travel to event sites or partner venues.
