Position Summary
The Country Manager – Logistics will oversee and direct all logistics and transportation operations across the country. This includes strategic planning, business development, operational excellence, and full P&L responsibility. The role is critical in ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and market competitiveness within the logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire logistics operation within the country (including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and last-mile delivery).
- Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with regional goals to grow the logistics footprint and customer base.
- Ensure operations are running efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high service levels and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and global company policies.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of logistics operations.
- Manage key customer relationships and support sales/commercial teams in client development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop local logistics and operational teams.
- Represent the company with external stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (MBA is a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a country or senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including trucking, warehousing, freight forwarding, and distribution.
- Proven experience in managing P&L and driving business growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English (Arabic or local language preferred for regional roles).
