Job Description:

The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Logistics Planning & Optimization Professional to join our team. In this role, you will implement and optimize Transport, Trade & Logistics (TT&L) operations, manage daily KPIs, and drive process improvements to ensure efficient shipping that meets quality, legal, and cost standards. You will oversee end-to-end G/C transportation planning, including verifying freight data, selecting carriers, calculating charges, creating Freight Orders, and coordinating with stakeholders.

How you’ll make an impact

• Manage import/export customs operations with customs brokers.
• Create and verify customs declaration files, upload documents into SAP GTS.
• Communicate customs instructions and handle documentation amendments as needed.
• Support customs clearance resolution and manage IPR and OPR cases.
• Assist with preferential origin rules and advise on UCC and EU regulations.
• Coordinate with CTCO for export incentives and licenses.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

Your background

• Diploma or MBA in Logistics or Operations Management.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics and global trade, supporting operations in KSA.
• Comprehensive understanding of transportation modes, customs, and international trade.
• Strong relationships with logistics providers.
• Knowledge of SAP TM, SAP GTS, and SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
