Job Overview:
A highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Engineer for geotechnical investigation site work to assure and control the work quality.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site surveillance to ensure work quality.
- Prepare PQP, QA/QC Method Statement, ITP, and Checklists.
- Ensure proper implementation and compliance of the quality control system within the project sites.
- Handle document submittals and approvals for suppliers and materials as per project specifications and standards.
- Check and inspect RFI submissions.
- Maintain, review, and administer quality system procedures including non-conformance reports, customer feedback, and corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee inspection of incoming materials to ensure they meet requirements.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers to ensure quality of work is maintained and performed in accordance with project specifications and IFC drawings.
- Review material technical data sheets and submit for engineer/consultant approval.
- Maintain and update records of all quality documents.
- Follow up on daily site inspections and pending RFIs.
- Issue Internal NCRs or Site Observations for non-conformances.
- Prepare QA/QC reports.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- ISO 9001 / 14001 certification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in geotechnical investigation site work.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments.
