Job Description

Scope and Objectives: To coordinate between the engineering team to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out on time, fulfill engineering requirements of other departments, monitor and prepare required reports on a day-to-day basis.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  1. Managing general hotel gardens maintenance including basic carpentry and minor painting and decorating.
  2. Monitoring preventive maintenance files daily and communicating with the team.
  3. Documenting Preventive Maintenance records.
  4. Assisting Engineering store with report updates.
  5. Assisting team members in finding records and documents.
  6. Preparing and maintaining the engineering library and training room.
  7. Organizing and coordinating department section meetings.
  8. Documenting all training records.
  9. Representing Engineering department for meetings when advised.
  10. Monitoring guest satisfaction reports related to Maintenance department.
  11. Monitoring department team grooming issues and coordinating for improvements.
  12. Monitoring department work safety issues and coordinating for improvements.
  13. Documenting work accidents and following up.
  14. Coordinating with other departments when assigned.
  15. Communicating necessary information to the engineering team on a daily basis.
  16. Collecting feedback from the team and reporting to the DOE & ADOE.
  17. Coordinating all maintenance requests/interventions with concerned departments ensuring minimal disturbances to operations.
  18. Ensuring good communication between Engineering Department and other departments.
  19. Updating engineering consumptions data such as electricity, fuel, gas, water consumption, and swimming pool readings on a daily basis.
  20. Assisting Engineers in preparing material requisitions from the Main and Engineering stores.

Qualifications

Qualification Standards:

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent required. At least a 2-year college (associate) degree preferred.
  • Experience: Five years’ experience in the same field in hospitality.
