Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and expert Fire and Gas Detection, Fire Suppression Systems, Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation supervision, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and gas detection systems, fire suppression systems, and security and safety systems in various industrial and commercial environments..

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design fire and gas detection systems, fire suppression systems, in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements..
  • Lead all aspects of the installation of fire and gas detection systems, fire suppression systems, and security systems. Ensure that installations are completed according to design specifications and safety standards. Craft and develop electrical tool solutions that meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct commissioning activities for fire and gas detection systems and fire suppression systems, ensuring all systems are operational and meet performance criteria. Perform functional testing and system validation.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and fixing of fire and gas detection systems, fire suppression systems, and security systems. Identify and resolve issues to ensure system reliability and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, installation manuals, maintenance logs, and commissioning reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure that all systems align with relevant local, national, and international safety laws and standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry standard processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven 5 years of experience in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and gas detection systems, fire suppression systems, and security systems.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection principles, gas detection technologies, fire suppression systems, and security systems. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).
  • Excellent analytical and fixing skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical partners.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, including overnight stays.
