At Six Flags Qiddiya City, the Senior Manager - Entertainment Technical works closely with the Director - Entertainment & Events to ensure the seamless operation of all live entertainment and events within the park. This position plays a pivotal role in providing leadership, strategic planning, and personal excellence to support the department's goals and enhance the guest experience.
Pre-opening:
- Support Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Director - Entertainment & Events to provide strong leadership and direction to the Entertainment department, fostering a positive work environment, and driving employee development and engagement.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and executing strategic plans that align with the theme park's objectives, including technical requirements and procurement for seasonal events.
- Content Development: Lead the technical direction of creative entertainment offerings, including show design, street entertainment, special events, and park launch shows, ensuring they meet brand standards and deliver a world-class offering, utilizing reliable, fit-for-purpose technology—considering future proofing, AMCs, and equipment that will integrate with current systems.
- Media Development: Work on the technical side of the development and updates of attraction media content, coordinating with project teams and ensuring alignment with the park's creative vision.
- Operational Excellence: Play a key role in developing and producing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, and Operational Documentation. Implement comprehensive training plans for the technical requirements pertaining to the Entertainment department, ensuring high standards of safety, guest service, and entertainment excellence.
- Recruitment: Develop recruitment strategies for the Entertainment Technical department, including planning and execution for both Six Flags and Qiddiya Water Theme Park.
- Seasonal Events: Coordinate with Six Flags International to align with their seasonal events, such as Holiday in the Park and Halloween, as well as locally relevant events including Ramadan, Eid, and National Day. Develop robust systems to support such activities, considering neat and tidy invisible temporary technical installs.
- Integration: Work in tandem with the Qiddiya development teams and their vendors to support the installation and integration of all technical aspects and equipment within the park, advising where appropriate. This includes but is not limited to Park PA, Projection Mapping Systems, Lighting and Sound, content management. Ensure a successful handover from vendor to operator.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience: 5-8 years of operation in entertainment, theatre, show or event production, large waterpark, theme park, or cruise line management.
- Skills: Strong IT and system skills, motivational, leadership, and team-building skills, excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal), experience developing park-wide ticketing, guest management, and fast-track systems, ability to motivate and delegate, good organizational skills, creative, outgoing, detail-oriented, self-motivated, flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, valid Driver's License.
