Job Description & Summary
About the Role
We are looking for high-caliber professionals to join our growing Indirect Tax team in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This role is based in Khobar and specifically we are searching for senior associates to join our Middle East Indirect Tax Practice – Indirect Taxes for us cover Value Added Tax, Customs Duty, Excise Tax and Real Estate Transaction Tax as well as electronic invoicing.
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality indirect tax advisory and compliance services, while also supporting engagements across the wider GCC region. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and high-impact client matters involving tax planning, advisory, e-invoicing, and disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical VAT and RETT advisory services to clients across various sectors.
- Support the drafting of clear, concise, and accurate tax advice, memos, and client communications.
- Conduct tax impact assessments for real estate and other complex transactions.
- Work closely with engagement teams to identify indirect tax opportunities and risks.
- Liaise with tax authorities on client matters, including registration, rulings, and responses to queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations.
- Help mentor junior staff and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in VAT and/or RETT within a consulting firm or an in-house tax/finance function.
- Solid understanding of the KSA VAT and RETT Legislations.
- Proven experience in preparing advisory deliverables, technical memos, and correspondence with clients and authorities.
- Practical exposure to e-invoicing regulations and tax technology is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal in English; Arabic is a plus).
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CTA) or progress toward one is preferred.
