Job Title: Plant Engineer

Position Summary

The Plant Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities in an algae production facility, with a strong focus on downstream processing. This role involves overseeing equipment functionality, supporting the algae team technically, and ensuring production goals are met efficiently, safely, and reliably. The Plant Engineer plays a vital role in coordinating operational activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of algae plant operational processes.
  • Coordinate daily and long-term production schedules.
  • Monitor equipment performance to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain accurate operational reports, records, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal operational policies and safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to uphold production standards.
  • Oversee harvesting operations to meet scheduled timelines.
  • Assist technical leads in the implementation and operation of culture and downstream processing (DSP) equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance of all equipment in the DSP area.
