Job Title: Assistant Manager Finance
Currently, we are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global container liner company, for the position of Assistant Manager Finance based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager Finance will have overall responsibility for all financial matters pertaining to the company, including services operated by the company and agency services offered to the parent company in Singapore. The candidate must maintain excellent professional relationships with the management team of the company and the group.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support company office and third-party agents in financial activities:
- Reconcile accounts with HQ to ensure consistency between branch and headquarters accounts.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end closing activities.
- Analyze monthly financial and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with policies and reporting standards.
- Provide guidance on billing and accounting matters.
- Verify invoice handling and processes for accuracy.
- Take appropriate and timely actions on financial matters.
- Ensure accurate data entry in the ERP system.
- Engage in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.
- Monitor and control costs.
- Maintain a robust control environment and manage budgeting processes.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable accounting and reporting, including management and statutory reports.
- Coordinate external audits.
- Manage cash flow and reporting.
- Safeguard company assets.
- Oversee corporate tax, VAT, and GST compliance.
- Manage banking relationships.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountancy or equivalent.
- Proficiency in shipping-related accounting software such as SAP (finance module in logistics/shipping environment).
- Advanced Excel skills.
Language Requirements
Background and Experience
- MSc in Finance, Auditing, B.Com, or similar qualification.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, etc.).
- Experience in the shipping/transportation industry is essential.
- Experience with vessel-operating shipping companies is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance roles.
- Experience working with SAP.
