Job description

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Entry Level Flight Simulator Technician to join our dynamic team at Al Majmaah Airbase.

In this role, you will develop your skills and grow into a Simulator Engineer, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of our UAV simulators. You'll play a vital part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and top-quality operations at our state-of-the-art training center.

We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to help us achieve CAE's goal of delivering world-class flight simulator training. As part of CAE's vision to be the global training partner of choice, you will contribute to enhancing safety, efficiency, and readiness across all aspects of our training center operations.

This role is ideal for recent graduates with Engineering degrees or those with other engineering qualifications and some work experience. Based at Al Majmaah Airbase, you'll need a driving license and be comfortable with your commute or willing to relocate closer to the airbase.

Key Tasks

1. Support all technical and operational aspects of the Flight Simulator Training Devices.
2. Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness checks, support flyouts as required, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
3. Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs.
4. Identify recurring issues and work towards permanent solutions.
5. Seek and implement improvements to procedures related to training device maintenance tasks.
6. Provide on-the-job technical training to other technicians through coaching and mentoring, fostering professional development.
7. Collaborate with specialists on complex issues requiring testing, troubleshooting, research, and design.
8. Maintain and support the FSTD operations Management System, including implementing and adopting processes and procedures.
9. Perform minor software, hardware, and CDB updates as needed.
10. Keep track of and request consumables and tools required for PMTs and Daily Readiness.
11. Support logistics activities, including inventories, store re-arrangement, packing, and shipping preparations.
12. Strive to become a technical expert in one or more simulator systems (e.g., Visual, Motion, Flight Controls).
13. Promote a workplace culture aligned with organizational values, emphasizing safety, health, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computers, Mechatronics, or Aviation.
• Saudi Nationals are required due to security clearance requirements.
• Excellent English language skills (reading, speaking, and writing).
• Customer-oriented with the ability to build effective relationships.
• Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and programming languages.
• Knowledge of various aircraft types is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driving License.
