Role Summary:

As a QA / HSE Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, and management of quality and HSE programs and procedures. Your responsibilities include translating customer specifications and industry standards into product and process criteria, creating control plans, and addressing daily quality issues within manufacturing, at customer sites, and supplier facilities. The role also involves ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, implementing policies, managing risks, and assessing impacts.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

1. Coordinate with production to plan and execute inbound and in-process checks.
2. Manage relations with customers and third-party inspectors.
3. Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits.
4. Engage in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events.
5. Monitor product KPIs and implement corrective actions to address gaps.
6. Manage customer witness inspections.
7. Maintain and analyze data to inform management and stakeholders about process or product quality issues.
8. Raise awareness among leadership about opportunities discovered or developed, and how to realize them.
9. Collaborate across departments to resolve QC-related issues.
10. Ensure all documents meet QAP standards and coordinate with internal teams to address documentation queries.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety:

• Lead safety, health, and environmental programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and Flowserve standards, including fire prevention, workers' compensation, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, audits, hazardous waste management, and environmental permits.
• Develop and lead safety training, employee development, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Manage the Safety Committee, evaluate effectiveness, set priorities, and establish goals.
• Coordinate Emergency Response initiatives, including training and emergency plans.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Background in QA/QC and HSE departments.
• Understanding of product and process flow.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, API-Q1, 6D, IEC 80079-34 standards.
• ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Ability to pass visual tests for near vision acuity, color vision, and shade matching.
