Purpose
The Company Division is seeking an experienced RCA Rotating Engineer. The primary objective of this role is to provide technical expertise in rotating equipment and facilitate reliability discussions, assessments, and decision-making to enhance plant availability and reliability.
Main Responsibilities
Provide technical support for rotating equipment and ensure proactive reliability measures are implemented.
Maintain a Risk Registry to prioritise action plans based on actual and potential risks.
Conduct failure analysis at any stage by examining symptoms and past failure patterns.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leader for rotating equipment within the RCA team.
Generate a list of critical equipment and coordinate technical consultations with Saudi Aramco (SA) and vendors.
Perform equipment performance analysis and provide detailed insights.
Conduct field troubleshooting, shop overhauls, equipment shutdown/startup support, and generate related reports.
Other Responsibilities
Perform additional tasks as required to support operations.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10 years of experience in site technical rotating equipment support in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
At least 10 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering.
Technical Expertise
Fully trained and experienced in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies such as PROACT and Taproot.
Familiarity with investigation tools & techniques like FRACAS, RCA, and Taproot.
Certifications (Mandatory & Preferred)
Mandatory:
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
Machinery Lubrication Analyst Level II (MLA II)
Vibration Analysis Category II (CAT II)
Preferred:
Ultrasound Testing (UTI)
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical, methodical, and chronological problem-solving abilities.
Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
In-depth knowledge of change management and problem-solving techniques.
