Job Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer provides structural and foundation design, technical analysis, and/or resolution of engineering problems. They supervise the documentation of structural drawings in coordination with architectural and MEP works.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and oversee structural engineering designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations to determine load capacities, material specifications, and safety factors.
3. Optimize structural designs to balance cost, safety, and performance, considering factors like material efficiency and constructability.
4. Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, for construction and permitting processes.
5. Develop innovative structural solutions to complex engineering challenges, incorporating new technologies and materials.
6. Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and drafting teams, ensuring the accuracy and quality of design outputs.
7. Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, conducting thorough reviews and audits as necessary.
8. Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify the implementation of structural designs and resolve any issues during construction.
9. Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
10. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with structural engineering projects, implementing best practices to enhance safety and reliability.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced expertise in structural engineering principles, including analysis and design of various structural systems such as steel, concrete, and timber.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software like SAP2000, ETABS, or Staad.Pro for complex calculations and simulations.
• Deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure safety and integrity.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Leadership capabilities to lead teams, oversee project delivery, and mentor junior engineers.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required for success in this role.

Job Experience
