Job description

Amazon is looking for a Vendor Management Team Lead to manage the Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) team in Saudi Arabia. Amazon Vendor Services are a suite of services designed to help Amazon's most strategic vendors grow and deliver the best customer experience by working across all key retail levers (e.g., selection, availability, operational efficiency, catalog quality, and marketing). The service is delivered primarily through Brand Specialists assigned to specific vendors. Amazon has an ambitious vision for the future of this service, focusing on business impact for vendors and categories, operational scalability, and vendor satisfaction.

Role Overview

As a Brand Specialist Team Lead for Amazon Vendor Services, you will be responsible for delivering impact to a large group of strategic vendors through a team of Brand Specialists reporting to you. Your priorities include improving vendor performance across key retail metrics, ensuring vendor satisfaction, and continuously enhancing team productivity. You will collaborate closely with Vendor Managers to understand vendor needs, define goals, and support strategic decision-making with Category Leaders. You will also contribute to ongoing service improvements and innovation.

Candidate Profile

You should be passionate about managing and developing people, highly analytical, resourceful, and customer-focused. A proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments while managing diverse stakeholder needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with Vendor Managers and retail functions to set priorities based on vendor needs.
  2. Manage relationships with key vendors subscribed to AVS.
  3. Develop and execute joint business plans to impact vendor performance.
  4. Lead a team of Brand Specialists to manage business plans for multiple vendors and deliver business impact.
  5. Regularly audit metrics to improve vendor and employee experience across sub-categories.
  6. Drive adoption of tools and offshore processes to boost team productivity.
  7. Identify required skills within the team to address specific vendor issues.
  8. Develop team skills and allocate resources effectively.
  9. Grow and develop team members into future Amazon leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in account management, project or program management, or buying.
  • At least 2 years in market research analysis, product management, or similar roles.
  • Over 2 years of experience in roles such as quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, or e-commerce.
  • Experience in driving cross-team collaboration.
  • Management experience, including managing a team.
  • At least 3 years in roles like management consulting, investment banking, or as a brand manager at a leading consumer goods company.
  • Experience in financial analysis, retail, marketing, business development, consulting, negotiation, or supply chain.
