The role involves ensuring team members perform their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures, utilizing manpower and resources efficiently in the warehouse and on-site to meet standards cost-effectively. It also includes maintaining safe and healthy working conditions by adhering to the company's health and safety policies.
The manager will oversee teams in both warehouse and site environments to ensure that structures are prepared and installed to the highest standards, following industry best practices, and that stock levels are maintained appropriately.
Requirements
Management
- Oversee the complete temporary structures work activities and resource allocations, ensuring sufficiency and efficiency based on project complexity.
- Manage fabrication elements required for projects, including customization through advice or subcontractors.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate staffing, shifts, and work timings to meet delivery deadlines.
- Develop and implement standard fabrication and erection procedures to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Enforce quality control and inspection standards to meet quality objectives.
- Ensure products are prepared following best practices, with quality controlled and inspected at each stage.
- Organize repair and routine maintenance of stock and equipment, maintaining records accordingly.
- Maintain standard elements in a ready and well-maintained state for immediate use.
- Manage stock control and ensure inventory records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Recommend resources, products, and training to meet future departmental demands.
- Implement and adhere to health and safety procedures.
Coordination
- Coordinate with related departments regarding scope of work and delivery schedules, ensuring smooth transfer to the team.
- Conduct regular meetings with interdepartmental managers to discuss ongoing projects, site build-up, and optimize transport and manpower.
Administrative Follow-up
- Ensure timely submission of departmental requests such as purchase requests and manpower requirements, with additional resources requested in advance.
- Monitor and allocate stocks through stores and warehousing divisions.
- Track outside labor and sourcing, recommending additional suppliers to expand the database.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance for documentation related to workers traveling outside the UAE.
- Track worker vacations and follow up with HR.
Cost Control and Production Costs
- Provide cost estimates to project owners and advise on cost-effective solutions.
- Manage project costs within defined budgets.
