Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design review team (5 multi-disciplinary professionals) responsible for the technical evaluation of all design consultant submittals across master planning, infrastructure, utilities, warehouses, and vertical buildings.
• Ensure all designs adhere to the latest regulatory and development standards specific to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee and coordinate the entire design lifecycle from concept to issued-for-construction (IFC) drawings.
• Manage the performance and deliverables of appointed design consultants, ensuring timelines, scope compliance, and quality are met.
• Act as the key interface between the program director, consultants, and wider project stakeholders to ensure coherent design progression aligned with program objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to resolve design-related issues and proactively drive coordination between disciplines.
• Prepare the design review team for transition into the construction supervision phase, potentially assuming the role of Resident Engineer during execution to oversee construction contractors and ensure design intent is maintained on site.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years experience in design management on large-scale infrastructure or logistics/industrial developments, preferably in the GCC.
• Proven expertise in design development and coordination across all project stages, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations, permitting processes, and design guidelines related to infrastructure and building developments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and direct external consultants and interface with authorities and client teams.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
