Job Description Summary

The GA SABAP Cluster Substation Automation Junior Engineer will execute Digital Control System (DCS) engineering activities for assigned projects, involving project design activities aligned with the Engineering Process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of these design engineering activities.

Job Description

The Early Career Training program is an investment in young talents, providing training to fresh graduates who meet the criteria to undertake a traineeship within a GE business. The traineeship duration varies and aims to develop general skills, on-the-job knowledge, and technical experience, requiring understanding of concepts, methods, and procedures.

What You’ll Do
  1. Execute DCS Engineering activities for assigned projects, considering quality, cost, and time.
  2. Liaise with multidisciplinary team members to specify and design projects, ensuring technical standards are met.
  3. Prepare all applicable documentation needed for panel integration.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of designs to stakeholders with quality assurance, including partner documents.
  5. Validate designs during customer acceptance, check document consistency, and manage evolving customer requirements.
  6. Support site organization during preparation and commissioning stages, ensuring compliance with quality procedures.
  7. Assist factory during FAT preparation and conduct validations to ensure project success.
  8. Demonstrate EHS compliance, promote Zero Deviation Plan, and set an example in safety behaviors.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure excellent service and maintain customer relationships.
What You’ll Bring
  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. Basic experience in substation automation projects.
  3. Ability to understand and prepare design documents for automation projects.
  4. Ability to prepare automation configuration/database.
  5. Ability to conduct FAT in accordance with project specifications.
  6. Good understanding of communication protocols used in substation automation.
  7. Good communication skills in English and/or Arabic.
  8. Willingness and ability to travel regionally.
