Job description

  • Assist the Chef de Rang in providing excellent customer service during service periods.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, glasses, and other necessary items before guests arrive.
  • Greet guests in a polite and friendly manner and assist with seating if needed.
  • Serve food and beverages professionally, in accordance with service standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure all mis-en-place is prepared and replenished before and during service.
  • Communicate efficiently with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Handle minor guest requests or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food, and beverage service is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
