POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Engineer (SE) with (KSA / MMEA) will be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers. As a Trend Micro product expert, you will guide customers and prospects in the selection and deployment of Trend Micro Next-Gen security solutions and take joint ownership with the Sales team in developing customer relationships, providing leadership in security architecture, and helping influence customer’s technical strategy with strong problem-solving skills. A Sales Engineer is a trusted advisor to customers by developing an understanding of customer needs, risks, tolerance, technology gaps, and implementation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand the customer journey with the product and assist customers in navigating it smoothly.
  • Focus on Customer Success throughout engagement, onboarding, and product experience.
  • Build and train the sales organization; be an effective storyteller to help the sales team sell better and more effectively.
  • Understand the emerging ecosystem of cybersecurity partners like SOC services, CSP (cloud service providers), MSSP, etc.
  • Leverage channel partners by upscaling and training them for customer engagement.
  • Conduct routine updates on new products/technologies for internal sales staff.
  • Work closely with Regional/Global Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers to stay updated on the latest products and technologies.
  • Deliver engaging technical demonstrations highlighting Trend Micro products' advantages and benefits using solid messaging, presentation skills, and public speaking.
  • Encourage and empower partners and channels to propose, position, and convince customers of our solutions.
  • Present complex technical issues and solutions to all organizational levels in a meaningful, engaging, and digestible manner.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to design solutions that address customer problems.
  • Develop close relationships to influence the customer's technical strategy.
  • Deliver training to customers and prospects about Trend Micro solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical support to ensure ongoing support quality and customer health.
  • Contribute to departmental best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation for increased efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain current technical knowledge and participate in technical communities.
  • Participate in webinars, workshops, and industry events as a speaker or panelist; excellent public speaking skills are advantageous.
EXPERIENCE
  • Rich experience in delivering high-quality presales support and solutions, adding unique value for customers.
  • Strong understanding of SOC operations, security analytics, cloud architecture, cloud-native security, SASE, CASB, Zero Trust model; these are key advantages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS services is advantageous.
  • Exposure to security software solutions like firewalls, content security, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, data protection, and monitoring security is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • A strong interest and passion for all aspects of cybersecurity and customer security.
  • Good understanding of public cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
