Job Title: Drilling Rig Foreman

Job Summary:

The Drilling Rig Foreman will supervise and coordinate drilling operations at the rig site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drilling operations, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and safe drilling operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily drilling operations and allocate tasks to crew members effectively.
• Monitor drilling activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of drilling equipment and coordinate maintenance and repairs with the maintenance team.
• Communicate effectively with on-site personnel, including drillers, engineers, and management.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, production data, and equipment performance.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel on site by enforcing safety procedures and conducting regular safety meetings.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for rig crew members.
• Collaborate with the drilling engineer and other technical personnel to optimize drilling performance and resolve operational issues.
• Monitor and manage the use of resources and materials on site to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drilling operations
• Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and outdoor environment, often under extreme weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

• This position will require working on a drilling rig and may involve extended hours and rotating shifts.
• The role may require travel to remote locations and the ability to work away from home for extended periods.
