Job description: Job Purpose

This position exists to perform preparation of base and detailed design drawings activities efficiently, in a timely manner, and to quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Accountability Areas

Preparation of Detailed Drawings

• Create precise and comprehensive drawings for all mechanical parts using CAD software, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements and understand design intent, ensuring all aspects are accurately represented in the drawings.

Assembly Layout Development

• Develop detailed assembly layouts for complete product parts, ensuring all components fit together correctly and are suitable for manufacturing.
• Review and refine assembly designs based on feedback from production teams to optimize manufacturability and assembly efficiency.

As-Built Drawings Preparation

• Create as-built drawings for manufactured products, documenting any changes made during manufacturing.
• Ensure that as-built documentation is accurate and reflects the final product for future reference and compliance.

Tender Drawings Creation

• Prepare tender drawings according to customer specifications, ensuring clarity and completeness to support the bidding process.
• Work closely with project managers and sales teams to understand client requirements and incorporate them into the tender documentation.
