Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Technology Operations to lead infrastructure, cloud operations, IT service delivery, and cybersecurity execution across a multi-site and cloud-based technology environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, scalability, and availability of all technology platforms, including head office operations, distributed sites, cloud workloads, and SaaS platforms. This position plays a critical leadership role in supporting business continuity, digital growth, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure, Cloud & Operations Management
- Manage a hybrid technology environment including cloud platforms, SaaS solutions, networks, and on-site hardware.
- Lead CloudOps monitoring, incident response, deployments, performance optimization, and cost management.
- Ensure high availability of business-critical systems including POS, kiosks, ERP, LMS, CDP, digital signage, and system integrations.
- Oversee infrastructure capacity planning and technology scalability.
IT Service Delivery & Support
- Lead unified L1/L2 IT support operations across all locations and head office.
- Ensure efficient incident management, service request handling, and problem resolution.
- Define and enforce IT service management processes in line with ITIL best practices.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Enforce cybersecurity standards, policies, and controls in line with NCA and PDPL requirements.
- Oversee patch management, vulnerability assessments, and security incident response.
- Ensure secure cloud architecture and infrastructure hardening.
- Lead technology deployments for new site openings and major system rollouts.
- Manage infrastructure-related projects, automation initiatives, and large-scale deployments.
- Support implementation of monitoring tools, operational automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Vendor, Budget & Governance Management
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, and performance.
- Oversee infrastructure and cloud budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value optimization.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, security policies, and operational standards.
- Lead and develop infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams.
- Collaborate closely with Technology, Security, Applications, and Business stakeholders.
- Provide regular operational performance reports and risk updates to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps preferred).
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or PRINCE2 are an advantage.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure operations.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and cloud security.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations.
- At least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site, and cloud-based environments.
- Strong exposure to automation, IaC, and enterprise-scale technology deployments.
- Experience in retail, entertainment, or multi-location environments is preferred.
