Foreground is partnering with a leading retail group in Saudi Arabia to identify a seasoned Sales Director who will spearhead the go-to-market and distribution strategy for their newly launched portfolio of private label brands. This pivotal role will shape the commercial roadmap, establish the sales infrastructure, and drive sustainable growth across the Saudi market.



The successful candidate will bring proven expertise from a principal brand or distribution environment, with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution to build a high-performing sales and distribution organization.



Role Overview



The Sales Director will be accountable for setting and executing the commercial strategy for private label products across the Kingdom, leading both distribution and wholesale sales teams. This position is central to market penetration and revenue growth, with the remit to develop channel partnerships, optimize routes-to-market, and maximize brand presence. The role requires a forward-thinking leader with strong stakeholder management skills, a deep understanding of the Saudi market, and the capability to translate vision into action.



Key Responsibilities




  • Define, implement, and continuously refine the go-to-market strategy for the groups private label brands across Saudi Arabia.

  • Lead, develop, and coach high-performing teams across distribution and wholesale channels to achieve ambitious revenue and market-share targets.

  • Establish sales infrastructure, including commercial processes, sales KPIs, reporting mechanisms, and incentive structures aligned with growth priorities.

  • Oversee and manage relationships with key distribution partners, wholesalers, and retailers to expand market coverage.

  • Drive new channel partnerships while protecting and growing existing accounts through robust relationship-building and negotiation.

  • Develop strategic pricing, promotional, and placement plans to ensure competitiveness and brand penetration in priority segments.

  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment between product availability, demand, and market expectations.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform business decisions and maintain a proactive sales strategy.

  • Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence across the sales and distribution organization.

  • Prepare and manage annual sales budgets, forecasting, and financial performance reviews, providing senior leadership with actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Serve as the commercial ambassador for the private label portfolio, representing the brands in key market events, trade shows, and industry forums as appropriate.


Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally gained within principal brand or distribution environments in the consumer goods or retail sector.

  • Strong track record in developing and executing commercial strategies for market penetration, ideally involving private label or owned brands.

  • Proven experience building, leading, and motivating multi-functional sales teams covering both distribution and wholesale models.

  • Demonstrated success in developing commercial partnerships, negotiating agreements, and managing high-level distributor and wholesaler relationships.

  • Deep knowledge of the Saudi market landscape, with an established network across key retail and wholesale channels considered an advantage.

  • Commercially astute with strong analytical, forecasting, and P&L management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to influence at senior levels.

  • Fluent in English; Arabic is required.
