The role holder is responsible for ensuring smooth operations, pre-opening, and handover of concerned assets to achieve organizational and hospitality targets in accordance with guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Budgeting:
- Identify operational requirements for pre-opening based on organizational and asset-specific plans.
- Develop pre-opening budgets (OS&E) based on identified requirements and resources, including manpower, within budget constraints.
- Create implementation, reporting, and monitoring plans to meet pre-opening goals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop operational strategies, such as pricing.
- Plan and strategize for opening various assets, facilities, and services.
Pre-Opening Planning & Operations:
- Develop organizational and functional structures based on pre-opening needs.
- Manage staffing, recruitment, procurement, and documentation of OS&E.
- Review architectural and operational aspects of the property, including front and back of house, handicap accessibility, ingress/egress.
- Ensure property readiness for inspections, certifications, and licenses, leading application and procurement processes.
- Create pre-opening checklists and identify critical paths to meet timelines and budgets.
- Identify equipment needs (e.g., laundry) and oversee procurement and coordination.
- Develop marketing campaigns, oversee FF&E and OS&E installation, and develop marketing and communication plans.
- Negotiate with vendors for pre-opening procurement.
- Oversee opening ceremonies and post-opening operations, including audits and handovers.
- Lead recruitment, training, and policy development for hotel staff.
- Monitor operational systems (IT, Finance, HR) for effectiveness.
- Report on pre-opening metrics and manage operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Assess project issues, identify solutions, and communicate status proactively to management.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure clear communication between operator and owner.
Post Opening Hotel Operations:
- Supervise post-opening operations ensuring compliance with standards and conducting inspections.
- Coordinate property maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Hospitality Corporate Operations Director to meet organizational objectives.
