Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including nurses, nurse managers, and other healthcare professionals within the nursing department.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for nursing services that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Participates with the other leaders in the decision-making processes, including planning, budgeting and income generation
- Acts as a mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in professional development and career advancement.
- Monitors and evaluates nursing practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Implements quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Analyzes patient outcomes and nursing metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Ensures the nursing staff adheres to high patient care, safety, and quality standards and implements best practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Utilizes data to assess performance metrics and patient outcomes and discuss the outcomes during the departmental meeting.
- Lead activity to prepare Fakeeh Healthcare facility for national and international accreditation surveys, ensuring all nursing practices meet regulatory body requirements.
- Conduct incidents related to root cause analysis, departmental morbidity, and mortality reviews to identify patient issues and outcomes as per Fakeeh Care policy.
- Encourage nursing staff to research and apply evidence-based practices to improve patient care.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in healthcare and nursing, integrating relevant findings into clinical practices.
- Oversees emergency response protocols and ensures staff preparedness.
- Promotes patient-centered care.
- Advocates for patients' rights, needs, and preferences within the healthcare system and ensures that patient-centered care is a priority in the nursing department.
- Ensures nursing care meets the highest quality and patient safety standards.
- Advocates for patient-centered care and promote effective communication between patients and healthcare teams.
- Develop and advocate for policies and practices that prioritize the individual needs and preferences of the patients.
- Encourages nursing staff to involve patients in their care decisions, respecting their values and choices.
- Establishes a system for addressing patient complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Promotes a culture of empathy and compassion among nursing staff to enhance the emotional support provided for the patients.
- Creates and reviews specialty nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensures nursing practices adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements.
- Participates in budget planning and financial management for their services area and nursing departments.
- Monitors expenditures and identifies cost-saving opportunities without compromising care quality.
- Implements continuous education initiatives focusing on clinical skills, patient safety, and emerging healthcare practices.
- Offers training for nursing managers and staff nurses to improve their skills in managing teams, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment that enhances patient care
- Act in liaison with Nurses Manager and other Nursing Directors in relation to staff development plans -Participate in the development of the succession planning/plans for the designated department.
- Encourages open communication with nursing staff to gather insights on challenges they face in patient care and operational processes.
- Leads root cause analysis for incidents or complaints to understand underlying patient care issues.
- Creates action plans to address identified problems, specifying steps, timelines, and responsible parties.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for nursing services.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate patient care and improve interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Represents nursing at organizational meetings and committees. Conducts monthly unit meetings and submits minutes to QRM regularly.
- Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients and staff.
- Maintain a positive and proactive approach to challenges.

Experience:
10+ years of clinical nursing practice with 5 years in a managerial role. Succession planning and Career Ladder promotion approved by the NCL committee
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. A Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Leadership and Management Courses or Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Course certifications are preferred.
Language:
Excellent command of the English language and Arabic is a plus.
Licenses / Certifications:
License from the country of origin, License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS, ACLS and other LSTC courses as applicable.
