Job Description:

Foreground is partnering with a globally awarded experiential agency to appoint a culturally aware and intellectually curious Director of Content & Programming, based in Riyadh. This role leads the design of curated experiences, narrative frameworks, thematic journeys, and multi-format programming for events that blend entertainment, culture, education, and national messaging.

Working closely with the Creative Director and Strategy team, this role will define how Saudi-based events communicate with audiences, deliver value to stakeholders, and reflect the agency's reputation for insight-led programming.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead content strategy and experience architecture across events including forums, festivals, cultural programs, exhibitions, and government initiatives.
  2. Develop narratives, agendas, speaker flows, and session formats in collaboration with clients, curators, and subject matter experts.
  3. Manage content teams, freelancers, and contributors responsible for scriptwriting, editorial, session planning, and guest programming.
  4. Localize international content formats to reflect Saudi culture, audience preferences, and regulatory sensitivities.
  5. Coordinate closely with production and creative teams to ensure thematic consistency, cultural relevance, and operational feasibility.
  6. Stay ahead of global trends in experiential storytelling, cultural programming, and knowledge-led content.
Ideal Profile
  1. 10+ years in content strategy, programming, or editorial roles in events, media, or cultural institutions.
  2. Strong track record curating live content for regional or global audiences, with sensitivity to cultural context and protocol.
  3. Arabic and English fluency essential, with excellent writing, structuring, and storytelling skills.
  4. Passion for innovation in how people engage with knowledge, purpose, and immersive content.
