Job description

As the Director of Commercial, you are a key player in driving revenue and optimizing the hotel's commercial strategies. You lead the commercial team, ensuring a comprehensive approach to sales, marketing, and revenue management to maximize profitability and enhance the hotel's market position.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective commercial strategies aligned with the hotel's goals, focusing on revenue generation, market share growth, and enhanced brand positioning.
  2. Lead the sales team to drive business through various channels, including corporate, group, and individual bookings. Foster strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  3. Oversee revenue management practices, including pricing, inventory management, and distribution strategies, to optimize revenue streams and achieve budgeted targets.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute marketing plans that enhance brand visibility, attract target audiences, and drive direct bookings.
  5. Conduct regular market analysis, staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands. Use insights to adapt commercial strategies accordingly.
  6. Work closely with financial teams to develop and manage budgets for sales, marketing, and revenue management departments, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  7. Foster collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless operations and a unified approach to guest satisfaction.
  8. Lead negotiations for key accounts, partnerships, and contracts to secure profitable deals and long-term relationships.
  9. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the commercial team, analyzing results and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  10. Implement forecasting techniques to predict market trends, anticipate demand, and adjust commercial strategies proactively.
  11. Contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience by aligning commercial efforts with a commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  12. Provide regular and comprehensive reports to the General Manager, highlighting performance metrics, market insights, and future strategies.
  13. Foster a culture of excellence, mentorship, and continuous learning within the commercial team, ensuring high levels of motivation and productivity.
  14. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of guests and colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation.
  15. Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
